Menchie's open
A new self-serve frozen yogurt shop, Menchie's, opened Monday at 6404 W. Jefferson Blvd. The grand opening will be Sept. 7.

Closings
•Lone Star steakhouse in Coldwater Crossing closed today.
Harry Day, senior vice president of Lone Star, said the lease was about to run out and the company was not able to renegotiate it.
He added that the company is looking for other properties locally, so it could reopen somewhere else in this area. The restaurant opened at Coldwater Crossing in 1992.
The company, which operates 97 restaurants, has corporate headquarters in Plano, Texas.
•The Cosmos restaurant at 1425 W. Washington Center Road closed Aug. 19.
Panos Bourounis said his family sold the building to Culver's, a burger and frozen custard chain with stores on West Jefferson Boulevard and East Dupont Road.
The Cosmos at 3232 St. Joe Center Road will remain open, Bourounis said, and the family hopes to open another restaurant in a new location next year.
He said his dad, Petros Bourounis, has had health issues, which was part of the reason the family sold the west location, in addition to Culver's wanting to buy it.
