I believe a President Romney would be disastrous for our country, but I do have to say that the media, both left and right, is going a little overboard in characterizing him as needing to prove his humanity. He's a guy who loves his church and his family.
Early Monday eve we watched Season 8, Episode 15 of “Bonanza,” “A Christmas Story.” This is what TV should be, not the reality junk they call TV today!
Mitt Romney, if elected, will succeed only if the Democratic Party gives him the cooperation the Republicans denied President Obama. … No wonder people say they are no better off then … (because) there is no cooperation between the two parties.
If the Republicans can't corral Clint Eastwood, how can they ever handle Putin, Assad and Ahmadinejad?
To the ranter who doesn't want their taxes to go up because they don't have children and don't want to contribute to good schools: Who do you think is going to run our country, be your doctor, bankers? These children need a good education to be the leaders this country needs.
Why hasn't Mitt Romney's (Mormon) religion been a bigger factor in this election?
Using replacement refs in the NFL is like using security guards as Fort Wayne police. No way would the quality be even close to the same. Maybe Mitt Romney can ask his team owner buddies to stop this foolishness. He might even get a few votes out of it.
Pet owners, please put identification tags on your pets so that if they are lost or, (if they) wander away from home, they can easily be returned to you.
My experience in getting to the air show Sept. 1 was less than enjoyable. Per instructions, I took Ardmore Avenue to the airport. We sat in virtually standstill traffic for nearly an hour noon-1 p.m. … Eventually, one policeman started directing (traffic). … They appeared to be completely unprepared — and late.
Of what use is a controller or CFO at FWCS (Fort Wayne Community Schools) if they have to hire someone for $250K to keep control of the $119 million we gave them.
Voter ID is to make it hard for illegal aliens and dead people to vote.
What is harder than voting or buying a gun? Being 77 years old and trying to buy a couple cans of beer at … (a local grocer). Not only do they want proof of age, they want to be sure you can drive a car. Having a police department photo and DOB (Date of Birth) ID is not sufficient.
I had to laugh. Now we are concerned about principals not having enough time to do their job and putting more on their plate and them working more the eight hours a day? What do you think teachers have been doing for eons?
As a Democrat, I watched every night of the Republican convention, and not just the 10 p.m. hour. How many Republicans will watch every night of the Democratic convention? Seems to me every voter needs to be truly informed, not just spoon-fed what their chosen media outlet tells them.
If on the night they confirmed their presidential candidate, the Democrats had a Hollywood actor insult the president during their convention, the Republicans would be apoplectic (showing signs of a stroke). Everyone involved in Mr. Eastwood's performance should be ashamed.
I guess the “hard truths” that the Republicans said we needed to hear during their convention were the “hard to believe truths.” Or “hard to classify as true truths.”
Mitch Harper is going to run for mayor. He has more than three years to do it. … I would not vote for him, and three years of seeing and hearing him is not going to help to change my mind.
Shame on Mitt Romney. He failed to even mention our war dead and wounded warriors from these horrible wars their Republican cronies started after telling lies. And the lies told at the GOP convention were numerous and disgusting. The Republicans can't set the bar any lower than they have already stooped.
PETA wants the Johnny Appleseed Festival to go vegan (no meat). If they do, I and countless others will not attend. Meat was a main staple in the pioneer days.
Road Construction on Interstate 69 with flashing 45 mph speed limit sign. How do people make it OK going 65-70 mph if they hurt someone?
Since a Mitt Romney pollster said: “We're not going to let our campaign be dictated by fact-checkers,” I can only conclude that they will not run a campaign dictated by facts, that is, grounded in reality. This is a threat to our nation!
Local media should do a report on how many accidents have happened at the intersection of Reed and Fairlawn, during the months that school is in session. The vehicles parked on the north side of Fairlawn are breaking the law. There are “No Parking” signs posted.
