Sign on Clinton Street welcomes democracy leader Suu Kyi

A yard sign in the 4600 block of South Clinton Street welcomes Nobel Peace Prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi. The former Burmese political prisoner will visit the United States starting next week. During her trip she will receive the Congressional Gold Medal and visit Burmese communities in Washington, San Francisco, New York City and Fort Wayne. She will speak at 9 a.m. Sept. 25 at Memorial Coliseum, 4000 Parnell Ave. The free event is open to the public.
