The American Heart Association's area Go Red For Women group and McMahon Tires have teamed up to bring women health and car information in a “Women Under Pressure” event..
According to a release from the American Heart Association, the event will be Oct. 6 from 9 a.m. to noon and offers women the opportunity to learn how to their keep their cars and themselves in good shape. The project will offer health information, massages and tire/auto training all morning. Nurses from IPFW and students will be available to share health information and take blood pressures. Volunteers from the Go Red Passion Committee and BetterU teams will share information on women's heart and stroke health and related programs.
Bridgestone Tires will donate a set of tires to one of the event's participants. Anyone who attends will have the opportunity to sign up for the tire giveaway until noon Oct. 6.
