Tip of the Hat

Saturday, September 22, 2012 - 12:01 am

I wanted to thank the lady who saw the inconsiderate jerk hit my car in a parking lot and then drive away. Without her, I would have been left helpless. She saw the whole thing happen, getting the license plate number and description, and then going into the store where I was and leaving the information at the service desk. I wish she would have left her information so I could personally thank her for her kindness. God has blessed me with an angel.

Thanks to Dave Dize for taking immediate action on my recommendation they rebuild the railroad crossing just south of the Anthony Boulevard bridge while they made temporary repairs to the bridge a few weeks back. The railroad had not thought of doing the work while the bridge was closed, but they jumped right on it with just a call suggesting it needed done and doing it while the bridge was closed made good sense. Think of Mr. Dize each time you cross that new, smooth railroad crossing!

Four tips of the hat to the newly elected officers of the Central Catholic High School Alumni Association. President Leanne Mensing (1956), vice president Syliva Tjaden (1965), secretary Patty Hartman-Hoeppner (1962) and treasurer Tony Martone (1951). Keep up the great job of planning our CCHS All-Alumni gatherings each year since June of 2005!
