Police on Wednesday morning searched the home of fired Bishop Luers High School head football coach Matt Lindsay, seizing bags of undisclosed material.
Investigators with the Allen County Sheriff's Department and Allen County Prosecutor's office served a search warrant at Lindsay's home in the 2500 block of East Drive, said Cpl. Jeremy Tinkel, a spokesman for the sheriff's department.
The Fort Wayne-South Bend Catholic diocese announced last week that Lindsay had been fired because he had "inappropriate" videos – none containing nudity – on his work computer. Police are investigating whether Lindsay was engaged in any criminal activity.
Tinkel said investigators took about half a dozen paper bags filled with items from inside the home, but he would not go into detail about the items. No arrests were made, and no charges have been filed, he said.
"I can say the search warrant was for items, not for individuals," Tinkel said. "Obviously it's an ongoing investigation, and I don't have a specific timeline right now for when it will be completed."
Investigators spent about two hours searching Lindsay's house. Lindsay was at home during the search and cooperated fully with police, Tinkel said.
