The Boilers will be led by 2012 Big Ten Conference Sixth Man of the Year, senior guard D.J. Byrd.
The West Lafayette Regional of the 2K Sports Classic benefitting Wounded Warrior Project, which pits the Boilermakers against Bucknell and Hofstra, will be broadcast online via the Big Ten Digital Network. Purdue will open the 2012-13 regular season against Bucknell at 7 p.m. ET on Nov. 9, and face Hofstra at 2 p.m. ET on Nov. 11.
As previously announced by the Gazelle Group, Purdue will face Villanova in the 2K Sports Classic semifinals at 9:30 p.m. ET on Nov. 15. ESPN2 will broadcast the action from Madison Square Garden. Depending on the results of the semifinal round, the Boilers will face either Alabama or Oregon State at either 5 or 7:30 p.m. ET the following night, with the game to be carried on either ESPN2 or ESPNU.
Purdue will return home following its trip to New York to host UNC Wilmington on Nov. 21. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET for a BTN telecast.
The Boilermakers' game at Clemson on Nov. 28, part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge presented by Dick's Sporting Goods, was previously announced as a 7:15 p.m. ET with coverage on ESPNU.
BTN will televise the Boilers' next two games, home contests against Xavier and Lamar on Dec. 1 and 4, respectively. The Xavier game will start at 2:15 p.m. ET, and the tilt with the Cardinals is set for 6:30 p.m. ET. Purdue's road game at Eastern Michigan on Dec. 8 has been set for 2 p.m. ET with ESPN3 to broadcast the action online.
Purdue's Crossroads Classic matchup with Notre Dame has been slated for 4:30 p.m. ET on Dec. 15 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The contest will be televised on ESPN2.
The Old Gold & Black will play Ball State at Mackey Arena on Dec. 18 at 7 p.m., with ESPN3 set for the broadcast, prior to the holiday break. Following the break, Purdue and William & Mary will square off on Keady Court on Dec. 29 at 2 p.m. ET. ESPN3 will also broadcast the action between the Boilermakers and Tribe.
Big Ten play will begin for the Boilermakers at home against Illinois on Jan. 2, with tip-off scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET on BTN. The Boilers' game at Michigan State, set for noon ET on Jan. 5, will also be televised by BTN. Purdue and Ohio State will square off at 9 p.m. ET on Jan. 8 as part of ESPN's Super Tuesday lineup.
Purdue's home game against Penn State on Jan. 13 will be broadcast on BTN, but the time is still to be determined as a wild card game. The Boilers will visit Lincoln for the first time since 1978 on Jan. 16 to play Nebraska at 9 p.m. ET. The game will be televised by BTN.
The Boilermakers will step outside the conference on Jan. 19 to face West Virginia at Mackey Arena. The game is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET and will be televised by CBS.
Purdue will take to the road to face Michigan on Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN or ESPN2 before coming home for consecutive games at Mackey Arena against Iowa and Indiana on Jan. 27 and 30, respectively. BTN will broadcast both games.
The Boilermakers will hit the road for a pair of games on Feb. 2 and Feb. 5, visiting the Northwestern and Penn State, respectively. ESPN2 will televise the affair at Welsh-Ryan Arena and BTN will carry the game at the Bryce Jordan Center.
Purdue will return home to face Michigan State at 7 p.m. ET on Feb. 9 before once against setting out on a two-game road trip. The Boilers will visit Illinois at 9 p.m. ET on Feb. 13 and Indiana at 2 p.m. ET on Feb. 16. BTN will televise the first two games, and either ESPN or ESPN2 will carry the action from Bloomington.
The trend of a home game prior to two road contests continues for the Boilermakers on Feb. 24 when they host Northwestern in another wildcard game. A trip to Iowa follows on Feb. 27 for an 8:30 p.m. ET tip on BTN before Purdue heads to Wisconsin on either March 2 or 3 in the final wildcard game on the schedule.
The Boilermakers will wrap up the regular season with a pair of home games, welcoming Michigan on March 6 and Minnesota on March 9. BTN will televise both games from Mackey Arena.
Purdue's two exhibition games – against Montevallo on Oct. 30 and Newberry on Nov. 3 – will also be broadcast on the Big Ten Digital Network. Both games are slated for 7 p.m. ET.
