A man was reportedly shot in the leg Saturday while sitting on the front porch of a house in the 3700 block of Bowser Avenue.

According to a report from the Fort Wayne Police Department, an officer arrived at the location at 11:04 p.m., where he found a man laying on the sidewalk with another man standing by him. The officer observed a small amount of blood coming from the lower portion of the man's right leg, according to the report.

The man told the officer he was sitting on the porch when he was randomly shot, while the second person said he had been sitting inside the address when the shooting took place. The wounded man was transported by ambulance to the hospital. The officer located several shell casings lying in the street about 20-30 feet from where the wounded man was located.
