NEWS-SENTINEL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Je'norie Smith, Snider running back -- Rushed 24 times for 205 yards and four touchdowns as he helped Snider remain undefeated and defeat Elkhart Central 66-51 in non-conference play.

NEWS-SENTINEL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Spencer Cowherd, Northrop defensive back -- Caught six passes for 110 yards and a touchdown, and led the Bruins with eight tackles, including three for loss, and an interception.

NEWS-SENTINEL FAN CHOICE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Brenton Lockett, Heritage running back -- Carried the ball 11 times for 274 rushing yards and four touchdowns against Bluffton. Lockett received 423 votes and 51.59 percent of the total vote in the online voting to win this new weekly award. Online polls for next week's Fan Choice Player of the Week will be open Saturday through Monday evening at news-sentinel.com.
