The Rant is The News-Sentinel's anonymous sound-off forum. The readers' views expressed here do not necessarily reflect the views or opinions of The News-Sentinel. Dear Mr./Miss/Mrs. Undecided Voter: How hard is it to choose? The current administration will continue to spend trillions we don't have racking up debt for future Americans. Or we can vote to responsibly cut spending. Oh, and restore freedom lost under this dictatorship-in-the-making.

It doesn't take a village to raise a child. Just two parents to take responsibility for the child they chose to bring into the world. Where does it say in the Constitution homeowners should pay for iPods, swimming pools and sports stadiums? No one paid for me to even have air conditioning.

Thank you, Congressman Paul Ryan, for your speech from two years ago, when you told us that keeping your money in the Cayman Islands, like Mitt Romney does, does nothing to help create jobs in our country. Finally something I can agree with Mr. Ryan about!

To our Congress: This Congress seems to have been in “big hurry” to go home. That's a sad model for our young people. And, I feel as a taxpayer, that I (we) were “cheated.” Come on, Congress, get to work and save this republic.

Paul Ryan says his favorite band is Rage Against the Machine. He is the mascot of the machine. Paul, in the words of Rage, wake up!

The greatest threat posed by the next election is the possibility that fellow citizens who are completely corrupt and care not one iota for their own freedom can force me to live on the same “plantation” they do and toil for the same “slave-owner” they already submit to.

If you have a “Support Our Troops” car magnet and you vote for a congressperson who voted against a bill to help our returning troops find jobs (as did both of senators from Indiana), you are a hypocrite!

President Bush sent our troops over to Afghanistan and Iraq for about $800 billion, without paying for the wars. Then when there's a bill to help those troops find jobs, costing $1 billion (just over 0.1 percent of $800 billion), Republicans claim we can't afford it. This is unconscionable!

I am disabled. My apartment manager, the police and parking patrol don't seem to care if people are parking in our handicap spaces without any place cards or plates. Can someone please tell us who enforces this “law?” This happens 24-7 in our apartment complex.

Under BHO (President Obama), the economy is in the toilet, the Middle East is going up in smoke, and the mainstream/lame-stream media chooses to ignore all of this and instead go after Mitt Romney over his 2010 and 2011 tax returns?

To the ranter wondering why the media is not asking about President Obama's income tax returns: It's because both the president and vice president have already released the past 12 years of their returns, which may be viewed by anyone on the Internet.

To the couple who complained that Metea Park wasn't flying its flag in the rain: According to the flag rules, you aren't supposed to fly the Stars and Stripes in inclement weather, and (it) must be lighted at night. Respect the flag.

Monday Night Football:, Upon further review, the runner missed second base, so the touchdown goes to the Celtics and the Mavericks win.

My grandfather is legally blind, but even he saw the great fiasco game calling on “Monday Night Fooseball.”

I agree with the rant, “Where is my 2nd District City Councilman Russ Jehl.” He offers nothing but lip service and very little help to the district that he serves. Huge disappointment! Will not get my vote again!

He who hesitates is lost, but look before you leap.

When a problem arises, some want a way to solve it. Others want to find someone to blame.

A contractor is doing a wonderful job on I-469 on the northbound lanes. I'm wondering if the … (Indiana Department of Transportation) is going to have him fix the places in the southbound lanes between exits 17 and 19 where the concrete is all busted up and sinking making a huge dip in the highway?
