Thursday, October 4, 2012 - 6:57 am

An 18-year-old Fort Wayne man died of a stab wound in his chest, the Allen County Coroner's Office said Wednesday.

Deonta Tyrese Bonner of Fort Wayne was found dead at about 11:15 a.m. Tuesday in the back yard of a home in the 2900 block of Weisser Park Avenue. The coroner ruled his death a homicide, based on findings in an autopsy performed Wednesday afternoon.

The killing remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the coroner's office and the Allen County Prosecutor's Office. Bonner is the 24th homicide victim in Fort Wayne and Allen County so far this year, according to the coroner's office.
