TOM DAVIS, News-Sentinel Sports Editor

Last week: 5-5

Overall: 53-17

Lakeland over Concordia Lutheran – Cadets are hot, but Lakers are hotter.

Columbus Hartley over Bishop Luers – Knights don't travel well.

Northrop over Wayne – Do you ever really know with the Bruins?

North Side at South Side – South Side improving, but not enough.

Bluffton over Adams Central – Back in the day maybe the Jets had a chance.

Leo over Garrett – Great game. Will be close.

Woodlan over South Adams – Warriors getting to be very competitive.

Churubusco over Fairfield – Falcons have owned this series of late, but not tonight.

Carroll over Columbia City – Chargers roll just like East Noble did.

New Haven over East Noble – Bulldog defense will be the key.

Last week: 8-2

Overall: 57-13

Lakeland over Concordia Lutheran – Lakers beat Cadets by 19 last year in FW.

Columbus Hartley over Bishop Luers – Last trip to Ohio didn't go so well.

Northrop over Wayne – Bruins hard to figure out, but should beat Generals.

North Side over South Side – Archers improving, just not enough.

Bluffton over Adams Central – Tigers having a solid season at 5-2.

Garrett over Leo – Lions have gotten a scare in last two games.

Woodlan over South Adams – Warriors have played Leo & Garrett close.

Churubusco over Fairfield – Eagles will bounce back after Culver loss.

Carroll over Columbia City – Chargers solid in all aspects of the game.

New Haven over East Noble – Bulldogs have the better D in this one.

JOE WHELAN, WANE-TV Weekend Sports Anchor

Last week: 8-2

Overall: 53-17

Lakeland over Concordia Lutheran – Close call, but the Lakers should be fired up to take down an SAC team.

Columbus Hartley over Bishop Luers – This is a tough one for the Knights who travel to face a top 25 team from Ohio.

Northrop over Wayne – The Bruins offense is simply too much for Wayne to slow down.

Adams Central over Bluffton – The Patriots have righted the ship after a three-game skid.

Leo over Garrett – The Lions have looked vulnerable at times and Garrett is at home – but I think Leo pulls out a close one.

Woodlan over South Adams – The Starfires just haven't been able to score this season, the Warriors have shown at least some pop.

Churubusco over Fairfield – The Eagles are going to be fired up after losing a non-conference tilt last Friday.

Carroll over Columbia City – Drue Tranquill will be a handful for Eagles if he plays as well as he did last week against Homestead.

New Haven over East Noble – the Bulldogs win at home setting up a monster showdown with Homestead.

THE PIG, News-Sentinel football expert

Last week: 6-4

Overall: 53-17

Lakeland over Concordia Lutheran - NECC teams should not be beating up on SAC teams, but the Lakers will do just that.

Columbus Hartley over Bishop Luers - Another long drive for a Knights loss.

Northrop defeats Wayne. Bruins rebound after disappointing loss.

North Side over South Side - Totem Pole game will be closer than expected with Redskins reeling.

Adams Central over Bluffton - Tigers brought back down to earth in rout last week.

Garrett over Leo - Your upset special. It's time the Lions go down in the ACAC.

South Adams over Woodlan - Warriors put up a fight against Leo last week, but won't get over the hump.

Churubusco over Fairfield - Back to the NECC = back to winning for the Eagles.

Carroll over Columbia City - Most underachieving team this season is Columbia City.

East Noble over New Haven - The Pig has been calling this for weeks and is sticking to it.
