Author appearances

Hoosier author Susie Duncan Sexton's first book, “Secrets of an Old Typewriter,” is now available in paperback. Sexton will participate in “Souper Stompin' Saturday” 2-7 p.m. today at South Whitley Cleveland Township Library. She also will do a reading at 10 a.m. Oct. 25 at Churubusco Public Library. Sexton also will be available for a reading/book-signing at 5 p.m. Nov. 3 at the Peabody Public Library's Community Room, Columbia City.

Adult book group

The adult book group meets at 2 p.m. Oct. 31 at Aboite branch library, 5630 Coventry Lane. “Mildred Pierce” by James Cain is this month's book.

Books-n-Bagels

High school home schoolers will meet at 10 a.m. Friday to discuss “The House of the Scorpion” by Nancy Farmer at the Allen County Public Library, 900 Library Plaza.
