Fried pies, pumpkins, rings and bracelets, caramel apples, and more lured shoppers to vendors' tables on the opening day of Fort Wayne's Farmers Market on Saturday. Shoppers browsed through selections from Young's Greenhouse and Flower Shop, Goddess Granola, Keepsake Threads, Old Fort Soap Co. and others at the indoor market.
Organizers wanted a place where vendors could sell their goods year round while getting Fort Wayne to “Buy Local, Buy Fresh.” The market will be open 9 a.m.-noon the first Saturday of each month through May.
