One of the most gritty war films would have to be “Behind Enemy Lines,” and it airs at 8 p.m. today on AMC.
It boasts a terrific cast — Gene Hackman, David Keith, Gabriel Macht and Owen Wilson, who is the subject of the 2001 film.
Owen, who normally appears in comedies, stars as a navy navigator who is shot down in enemy territory. Hackman stars as his commanding officer who attempts to rescue him. Owen actually trained with Navy personnel to learn survivalist techniques to deliver a realistic performance.
