MarkleBank and Grabill Bank formally rechristened themselves iAB Financial Bank with a ribbon-cutting Tuesday. The two bank holding companies merged in 2005, leaving the banks separately chartered, and became Independent Alliance Banks Inc. Grabill Bank and MarkleBank have had consolidated administrative and operations functions since then but have maintained separate identities. iAB Financial Bank said consolidation has been its plan for several years to make the organization more efficient, control costs and better position the company for future growth.
