Reality TV is coming to Fort Wayne on Oct. 20, when an episode of the Lifetime TV show "Dance Moms" will be taped at the Arts United Center.
Billed as a "docu-series" the show features tough-talking dance instructor Abby Lee Miller of the Abby Lee Dance Company in Pittsburgh, her students and their mothers.
Collins Avenue Productions will bring the cast and crew of “Dance Moms” to Fort Wayne for a full day of taping of the Xpression Dance Competition, produced by In10sity Dance, beginning at 10 a.m. in the Arts United Center, 303 E. Main St., according to a news release from Arts United.
A limited number of seats are available to the public. Tickets may be purchased by advance sale only through the ArtsTix Community Box Office beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The box office is located in the Arts United Center. Tickets may be purchased in person, by phone at 422-4226, or online through the Arts & Culture Forecast calendar on Arts United's website at www.artsunited.org.
In addition, In10sity Dance is hosting a master class taught by Miller, on Oct. 21 at the Grand Wayne Center. There will be a class for children ages 11 and under from 10 a.m. to noon and a second class offered for children 12 and up from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Participants are welcome to attend for $60, and observers for $30.
