Allen County families may register for Christmas assistance from The Salvation Army and the Marine Corps Toys for Tots organizations. Applications will be taken through Friday at The Salvation Army Corps, 2901 N. Clinton St. No appointments are needed and hours are 9-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m.
Families who are struggling financially are encouraged to apply to receive a new outfit and toys for their children ages 0-14, a gift card for their 15-17 year old teens and food for their Christmas dinner.
The list of required documents for the application process each family must provide can be found on The Salvation Army's website: safortwayne.org or by calling 744-2311, Ext. 207. Obtain any missing documents before applying.
