Questions? Call 461-8347.The Second Steps Autism Resource Community Center and SensoryCritters.com are co-hosting a free presentation 7-9 p.m. Wednesday on ways to work with children who are picky eaters or have feeding problems. The session will take place at Second Steps, 4118 N. Clinton St
The presenters will be Michelle Berry, a pediatric occupational therapist, and Kimberly A. Griffith, a certified speech and language pathologist. They are the co-owners of Premier Strategies for Functional Oral Motor and Feeding Concepts, a local company that provides feeding and oral motor therapy.
Topics to be addressed include how to handle children who are picky eaters — those highly selective in the types, flavors and textures of food they eat — as well as children who are sloppy eaters; experience chewing, swallowing or gagging problems; or struggle with using standard eating utensils. A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.
