Fire damages home
A fire caused heavy damage to parts of a house Friday morning in southeast Fort Wayne.
Firefighters responded just after 5:45 a.m. to 3422 Euclid Ave., where they found heavy smoke and fire coming from the first floor of a two-story house, according to a news release. Crews determined that the fire was in the kitchen and garage.
Two people were inside the home at the time of the fire, but they escaped without injuries, according to the news release. No firefighters were hurt while responding to the blaze.
The fire caused heavy fire and smoke damage, along with moderate water damage, to the kitchen and garage, the release said. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
