Fort Wayne Police seek help to ID Walgreens robber

The Fort Wayne Police Department has released images taken of a man in connection with a pharmacy robbery Friday night.At around 8:22 p.m. officers responded to the Walgreens at 1701 E. Paulding Road in reference to a report of an armed robbery, according to FWPD spokeswoman Raquel Foster. Police were told a man entered the store, approached the cashier at the counter, displayed a handgun, and demanded cash from the register. The robber then fled the store on foot, westbound, through the parking lot. No injuries were reported at the scene.

The man was described as black, in his mid-30s, and about 6 feet, 5 inches tall; he was wearing glasses, a ball cap, brown-hooded sweat shirt and black pants.

This incident remains under investigation with the FWPD and the Allen County prosecutor's office.
