We didn't know what fall would look like this year because of the summer drought and varied late-summer weather. That didn't stop many of you from capturing some spectacular photos of the change of seasons for our Fall Foliage Photo Contest. When judging, we had a lot of great photos to choose from. One seemed to stand out for most judges, however: The winner is Chris Kessens for a photo taken Oct. 15 of the Glades Creek grist mill in Babcock State Park in West Virginia. Congratulations, Chris! You will receive the $50 Jefferson Pointe mall gift card. We liked the photo's composition, lighting, and the way the trees and grist mill formed a colorful backdrop to the waterfall. As one judge put it, the photo looks like one of those wonderful nature scenes you see on the front of jigsaw puzzle box.
