November is Epilepsy Awareness Month, and the National Epilepsy Foundation is introducing its “Now I Know” campaign. People with epilepsy, their families, friends and caregivers are encouraged to log onto Facebook and share a video about what they’ve learned and what resources have helped them. Visitors to the Epilepsy Foundation’s Facebook page will vote on their favorite videos. The video from each region with the most votes will win an iPad. The contest ends Dec. 31.

The Indiana Council on Independent Living is developing the goals to be included in the 2013-2015 State Plan for Independent Living and needs input to define goals that will address a wide range of challenges to independent living for individuals with disabilities and their families and that will help guide the activities of ICOIL, independent living centers and the State of Indiana into the future.

The Art of Living Course will be 6-9:30 p.m. Nov. 30 and 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Dec. 1-2 at the Gohil residence, 11133 W. Sycamore Hills Drive. Instructor will be Zankar Desai. The course is a practical workshop of experience and knowledge designed to develop the full potential of life. Cost is $325 until Friday. Student fee is $295 and repeater fee is $100 until Friday.
