College

•Huntington University inducted these students into the Indiana Beta Chapter of Alpha Chi: From Berne: Jacob Smith. From Churubusco: Will Stauffer. From Fort Wayne: Zach Figgins and Abby Madison. From Huntington: Rachel Heneveld and Andrew Wickersham.

•These Huntington University students served in a homeless shelter in Chicago: Jordan Placencia of Auburn, Danielle Lowden of Spencerville and Katie Knous of Decatur.

•IPFW hired Keli Kostoff as executive assistant to the chancellor.

Miscellaneous

•Bishop Luers will administer the Henry-Keefer Merit Scholarship Exam Dec. 8 to any current eighth-grade students interested in competing for a total of $10,000 in scholarship money to attend Bishop Luers High School. Registration cost is $10. Arrive at the school by 7:45 a.m.; exam begins at 8 a.m. Testing ends at 11:30 a.m.
