CRESCENT AVENUE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 1232 Crescent Ave., will host its annual turkey dinner 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday. Carryouts available. Proceeds benefit Fort Wayne area missions.

FIRST MENNONITE CHURCH, Berne, will hold rehearsals of the Mennonite Choral Society for Handel's “Messiah” at 7 p.m. Tuesdays, through Nov. 27, and includes a dress rehearsal Nov. 30. Performance is at 7 p.m. Dec. 1 and at 3 p.m. Dec. 2.

IPFW RELIGIOUS FORUM will meet to discuss “Learning with Bilbo: Lessons in Truth from The Hobbit” noon-1:15 p.m. Thursday at Walb Student Union, Rooms 222-226, 2101 Coliseum Blvd. E. Free admission.

LAKEWOOD PARK BAPTIST CHURCH, 5555 DeKalb County Road 29, Auburn, will have Festival of Lights at 7 p.m. Dec. 6-7 and 3 and 7 p.m. Dec. 8-9.

LEO UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 13527 Leo Road, Leo-Cedarville, is holding GriefShare sessions each Saturday morning through Dec. 1. This seminar/support group is for any adults who are going through the loneliness of the loss of a loved one. Meetings begin at 10 a.m. and last approximately two hours. To register or for further information phone the church at 627-2161. The church will host a special GriefShare session for Surviving the Holidays at 1 p.m. Saturday in the church library.

LIFETREE CAFÉ, Ossian Presbyterian Church, 123 S. Jefferson St., Ossian, will discuss preparing for the worst 6-7 p.m. Sunday.

LUTHERAN LIFE VILLAGES, 6701 S. Anthony Blvd., announced the installation of the Rev. Mike Wakeland as its new chaplain.

NEW HAVEN UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 630 Lincoln Highway E., New Haven, will offer GriefShare, a 13-week class for anyone who has suffered a loss, at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays, through Dec. 4. REDEEMER RADIO, Catholic radio at 1450-AM and 89.9-FM, raised $205,144 during its semi-annual Sharathon event Oct. 24-26.

TRINITY ENGLISH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 405 W. Wayne St., announced the Rev. Gary Erdos has accepted the call to serve as senior pastor. The Chancel Choir will perform a choral celebration at 4 p.m. Sunday.

TRINITY EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1636 St. Mary's Ave., will have Thanksgiving Eve service at 7 p.m. Nov. 21. There is no Thursday service.
