Coroner officially identifies pair killed in Indianapolis house blast

INDIANAPOLIS — The Marion County coroner's office says it has used dental records to positively identify the couple killed in an Indianapolis house explosion.The coroner's office has identified the couple as 36-year-old Jennifer Longworth and 34-year-old John Dion Longworth. The coroner's office says the cause of their deaths has not been determined.

The couple had been presumed dead after the home they lived in was destroyed in the explosion Saturday night.

Their funeral will be held Monday at St. Barnabas Catholic Church on the south side of Indianapolis, which is the church where they were married.

Jennifer Longworth taught second grade at Southwest Elementary School in Greenwood. John Longworth was the director of product development and technology for tech company Indy Audio Labs.
