The procession route and funeral arrangements have been finalized for a Washington Township volunteer firefighter who died Sunday night in a crash while responding to a call.

A viewing for Mark Haudenschild II is scheduled for Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the D.O. McComb Funeral Home location at 1320 East Dupont Road. Another viewing will be held Saturday 9 a.m.-noon at The Chapel, 2505 W. Hamilton Road South, with the funeral service immediately following. Haudenschild will be laid to rest at Riverview Cemetery in Churubusco, at 11425 Carroll Road.

Haudenschild, 25, died Sunday night after the tanker truck he was driving crashed as he drove to the scene of a brush fire.

Three processions have been scheduled. The first will start at D.O. McComb on Lake Avenue and end at its Dupont Road location. The second will start at D.O. McComb on Dupont Road and go to The Chapel, and the third will go from The Chapel to the cemetery.

See the box attached to this story for step-by-step details of the procession routes. The public is encouraged to line the procession route and businesses are asked to lower their flags to half-mast.

His name will be added to the Law Encorcement/Firefighters Memorial on Wells Street next spring.
