Local nonprofit appears on WFWA; announces Blind Boys of Alabama benefit concert

The League for the Blind and Disabled will appear Nov. 30 on WFWA, PBS39, to speak about its clients and services and an upcoming benefit concert. David Nelson, president and CEO, and Linda Scribner, senior blind services coordinator, will appear with WFWA General Manager Bruce Haines at 7:30 p.m. to speak about clients who work and live with little or no vision.

Haines and Nelson will speak at 8 p.m. about the disabled who live in northeast Indiana and will feature The Blind Boys of Alabama. Encores of the special air at 9:30 p.m. Dec. 4 and at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 9.

The Blind Boys of Alabama will headline a benefit concert for the League for the Blind and Disabled at 8 p.m. March 23 at Embassy Theatre, 121 W. Jefferson Blvd. Tickets cost $13-$43 and can be purchased at the Embassy box office and all Ticketmaster locations.
