Tip of the Hat

Saturday, November 24, 2012 - 12:01 am

Tip of the hat to the young, handsome man who stopped me several blocks from my home: I had left a china plate and bowl on the trunk lid of my car. It was for my great-granddaughter. Thank you so much. I'll say a prayer for you each day. (Yes — I'm in my 90s.)

I would like to give five tips of the hat to clerks Dorothy Drew, Patty Hartman-Hoeppner and Todd Squibb, and Judges Ed Ross and Michael, who worked at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 601 Reed Road, on Election Day, Nov. 6, 2012. These workers worked very diligently in greeting and assisting voters with a warm hello and thanking all of us for voting during a large voter turnout on Election Day.

Tip your hat to someone. Email tipofthehat@news-sentinel.com or send by mail to: Tip of the Hat, The News-Sentinel, 600 W. Main St., Fort Wayne, IN 46802.
