Rico is a 3-year-old neutered male tan chihuahua. He originally was adopted from the Allen County SPCA and then was returned due to some allergies in the home. He is a sweet boy who is very affectionate and wants to be by your side at all times. He does well with housebreaking and will require an adjustment period when he comes home with you. The staff recommends crate training him to help with housebreaking and also so he stays safe while you are away from home. He does not require a fence or trolley at home but will need daily walks for exercise. The staff feels he would do well with children of all ages as long as they treat him nicely. He gets along well with other dogs and even cats. If you are looking for a little shadow to follow you around please call the Allen County SPCA at 744-0454. (Courtesy photo)

Salsa is a small 2-year-old spayed female black tortoise shell domestic short hair cat. She was brought to the Allen County SPCA by her owner who could no longer care for her. She is a sweet, affectionate girl. She loves to carry on conversations. She is a playful gal who enjoys batting toys around with the other kitties at the shelter. The staff feels she would do well with children of all ages. She gets along well with other cats and even cat-friendly dogs. She is on a special diet for some allergies. If you are searching for a new feline friend, call the Allen County SPCA at 744-0454. (Courtesy photo)
