The New Haven Police department is investigating a business robbery that occurred Wednesday morning.Sometime between 4 and 6 a.m. Wednesday, five people broke into a fenced-in area at Economy Auto Parts in the 5100 block of Old Maumee Road, according to a news release. They stole close to 600 aluminum wheel rims and a gray Chevy S-10 pickup with a trailer hitch and “eyeballs” for headlights, according to the release.

Video showed two vehicles used by the thieves – a white 1990s Chevy Silverado extended cab pickup and a newer version with a small wooden trailer, according to the release.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Detective Jeff McCracken at 748-7093.INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis police are taking over security in a blast-ravaged neighborhood where a deadly house explosion is being investigated as a criminal homicide.

The Indianapolis Homeland Security division's response team had been handling security in the Richmond Hill subdivision since the explosion killed a young couple, but it has begun turning over those duties to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

Fire Capt. Rita Burris tells The Indianapolis Star that while a traffic post at the entrance of the subdivision is no longer needed, security remains tight inside the subdivision.

Burris urged residents to avoid "unnecessarily entering the neighborhood" because officials remain busy there investigating the Nov. 10 explosion.

Investigators believe the explosion was intentionally set and was caused by natural gas.
