INDIANAPOLIS – Colts receiver T.Y. Hilton took a major hit to the head but returned in time to deliver a knockout blow to the Buffalo Bills.
Hilton's eight-yard touchdown catch on a pass from Andrew Luck in the third quarter provided the final points in the Colts' 20-13 win over the Bills on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium. The win improved the Colts to 7-4 and kept them in the driver's seat for a wild-card playoff berth.
Hilton also returned a punt 75 yards for a touchdown and became the first Colts player to score on a punt return and a pass reception in the same game.
“We needed it,” Hilton said of his punt return, which put the Colts up 7-0 in the first quarter. “Coach (Bruce Arians) told me just to make plays. Be smart back there and just have fun.”
Hilton was hit by Buffalo's Nigel Bradham in a later punt return and appeared to suffer a head injury. But he was cleared by doctors and returned to the game.
Hilton talked about his day in the accompanying video.
