‘Annie’

In honor of the 30th anniversary of the Broadway opening of “Annie,” Bishop Luers High School's drama department, under the direction of Karlene Krouse, presents “Annie” at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Sunday and at 2 p.m. Saturday at 333 E. Paulding Road.
The musical won the Tony Award for Best Musical and features “Tomorrow” and “It's the Hard-Knock Life” by Tony Award winners Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin.
Senior Rachel Stuczynski stars as the world's favorite orphan, senior Kate Abbott stars at Miss Hannigan and junior Duncan Justice stars as Daddy Warbucks.
Admission is $7. Tickets can be reserved by calling 456-1261, Ext. 3114, or 414-8026.

Holiday magic

Travel to Monroeville for some holiday cheer as Holiday Magic 2012 takes place 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Santa and Mrs. Claus and craft vendors are in the park pavilion. The fire station hosts the gingerbread house contest, as well as cookie decorating and holiday card-making and games for ages 12 and under. More craft vendors appear at Monroeville United Methodist Church. Cornerstone Youth Center has its cookie walk and poinsettia sale. Trackside Museum will be open to visitors.
Free admission, and a free trolley is available to take visitors from site to site.
