•Felderman Design-Build, Fort Wayne, has been awarded the construction contract by Summit Brands for a 113,000-square-foot complete tear-off and reroof of an industrial building off Conestoga Drive.

•Weigand Construction Company, Fort Wayne, has completed a new indoor rowing training center, the White Devries Rowing Center at Culver Academies in Culver, totaling 18,469 square feet. The center will provide a state-of-the-art rowing facility for the Culver crew student athletes to practice “on the water” regardless of the weather.

In addition, the company announces that Vibra Healthcare, a new long-term care facility at Parkview Hospital on Randallia Drive, is nearing completion. The project is a renovation of 17,200 square feet of existing hospital space and is slated to be finished by January.

•Strebig Construction, Fort Wayne, has been awarded an interior remodel project for Todd Larson and Matthew Reynolds (Ameriprise Financial). The project is at Stonepointe offices at 415 E. Cook Road, Suite 500.

•Questa Foundation for Education has created the Women in Business fund with an annual gift of $75,000 by the Paul Yergens and Virginia Yergens Rogers Foundation. The funds are intended to reduce the barrier and debt for women living in Allen County who are interested in returning or starting their post-secondary education.

•Morrison Kattman Menze, Fort Wayne, was the architect and designer of Brookside's restoration (formerly the Bass Mansion) for the University of Saint Francis. The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution recently recognized this work with a Historic Preservation Recognition Award. The two-year restoration process was completed in 2010 and preserved the 1902 Richardsonian Romanesque mansion of industrialist John Bass.

In addition, MKM supported the university by decorating the Rose Room for “Christmas in the Castle,” and the Indiana Landmarks Holiday Open Houses, a series of historic open houses throughout the state.
