ANGOLA — Police in northeastern Indiana say an explosive put inside a doll caused a blast that rattled people in nearby homes.
The explosion happened Sunday evening in a neighborhood on the north side of Angola. Police Chief Stu Hamblen tells The Herald Republican that no injuries or damage were reported.
Hamblen says a large firecracker-type device or some other sort of explosive was put inside the doll and blown up at a street intersection. He said detectives were investigating the blast.
WANE-TV reports some people said the explosion shook homes at least two blocks away in the city about 30 miles north of Fort Wayne.
