Two men face charges of making methamphetamine after state police troopers found a lab while serving two separate arrest warrants at one of the men's Allen County home.
Michael J. Neuenschwander, 22, of New Haven, and 24-year-old Jeremy L. Combs, of Steuben County, were arrested and taken to the Allen County Jail after troopers found a “one-pot” meth lab in Neuenschwander's garage, Indiana State Police spokesman Sgt. Ron Galaviz said in a statement.
Police went to the home in the 16200 block of Edgerton Road at about 12:30 a.m. to serve two arrest warrants for Neuenschwander – one for a probation violation in Steuben County and one for leaving the scene of an accident in LaGrange County – Galaviz said.
Troopers found Neuenschwander and Combs in a detached garage and smelled a strong chemical odor, Galaviz said. The police found the one-pot lab and contacted the state police Clandestine Laboratory Team.
In addition to his previous arrest warrants, Neuenschwander is charged with manufacturing meth, possession of meth and maintaining a common nuisance. Combs is charged with manufacturing meth, possession of meth, possession of paraphernalia and visiting a common nuisance.
