Competition for young musicians with a disability
The 2013 VSA Arts International Young Soloists Competition is accepting applications from young musicians ages 14-25 with disabilities. Applicants can win $2,500 and a performance in Washington, D.C. All musical genres qualify: rap, classical and country. Ensembles and bands may also compete as long as at least one member has a disability.
Application deadline is Jan. 15 with a $10 fee.

Grand Effect Productions has openings for house actors (actors and actresses who'll be paid for participation in a play) for its spring musical “The Misadventures of Nancy Worth” March 10-12 at Calhoun Street Soups, Salads and Spirits, 1915 S.
