The Associated Churches of Fort Wayne and Allen County announced it will receive half of $2,140.34 for its A Baby's Closet program. The other half of the money will go to Sonrisas Siempre in Honduras, a nonprofit dedicated to dental service abroad.

The money will be donated by dentists who spent the last three months collecting coins in a competition to see who could raise the most money. Dr. Steven Ellinwood organized the competition and will present a check to A Baby's Closet Director Elaine Williamson on Wednesday.

Beginning Sept. 1, Ellinwood announced he would host a competition among himself and Dr. Tom Blake; and Drs. Todd Briscoe, Guy Fortie, and Mainstay Solutions. The competition ended Nov. 30. The coins were counted and Ellinwood's office was declared the winner.
