North Webster man behind bars on alleged drug charges

Wednesday, December 12, 2012 - 8:40 am

The Kosciusko County Drug Task Force announced Tuesday that a North Webster man is behind bars and faces multiple drug charges.

Lynn Allen Umber, 58, of North Webster, was taken into custody and preliminarily charged with two counts of Class A felony dealing a schedule III controlled substance within 1,000 feet of either a school, park, or government housing, according to a news release.

Kosciusko County Drug Task Force officers, with the assistance of Kosciusko County Sheriff's Deputies, executed an arrest warrant for Umber on Monday after a recent undercover drug investigation, the release said.

Task Force members allege that the drug Oxycontin was purchased during two undercover controlled buys that occurred in in both the towns of North Webster and Syracuse.

Umber's bond was set at $50,000.
