Friday, December 21, 2012 - 9:12 pm

BLOOMINGTON – Indiana earned a happy holiday break with its 88-52 victory over Florida Atlantic.

Forward Cody Zeller totaled 24 points (two off his career high) and six rebounds in 22 minutes as the No. 6 Hoosiers (11-1) rolled to their ninth straight home victory this season.

Florida Atlantic (5-7) got 25 points from guard Greg Grantt.

Christian Watford added 17 points and no rebounds for the Hoosiers.

IU was 26-for-27 from the line.

Freshman forward Peter Jurkin got his first action of the season. He was 0-for-1 from the field in four minutes.

Freshman forward Jeremy Hollowell didn’t play for the second straight game. In fact, he never dressed. There was no official explanation given before the game.

Florida Atlantic never threatened. Indiana’s 13-0 burst early on helped it build a 33-point lead. It led 55-25 at halftime.

The second half became a free throw shooting contest. IU was in the bonus after four minutes, and was in the double bonus after six minutes.

IU has one remaining non-conference game, next Friday against Jacksonville at Assembly Hall, before opening Big Ten play at Iowa.
