News-Sentinel Top Games of 2012 Show to air on public-access TV

The News-Sentinel will highlight the best games of the year involving Fort Wayne area teams with a television show airing on Access Fort Wayne later this week.The News-Sentinel Top Games of 2012 Show will be televised at 4:30 p.m. Thursday on both Comcast channel 55 and Frontier channel 25. It will also re-air at 11:38 p.m. Saturday on Comcast channel 57 and Frontier channel 27.

The 20-minute sports special will consist of video highlights shot by The News-Sentinel from the top Fort Wayne area games of the year. Among the teams featured in the show: Snider football, Bishop Luers football, Norwell boys basketball, Concordia Lutheran girls basketball, IPFW men's and women's volleyball and the Fort Wayne Komets.

News-Sentinel sports multimedia reporter Vinnie Lopes will serve as the on-air host for this show. He will be joined by sports editor Tom Davis, columnist Reggie Hayes and Komets beat reporter Blake Sebring to provide analysis for the game highlights.

The News-Sentinel this year placed an increased emphasis on expanding the newspaper's online coverage. The new initiatives it offered readers included more online video highlights.

The News-Sentinel Top Games of 2012 Show will also be available for readers to watch on the newspaper's website, news-sentinel.com, after the show initially airs on Access Fort Wayne.

This is the third show produced by The News-Sentinel sports department that will air on Access Fort Wayne. The News-Sentinel during the high school football season aired two video specials on public-access TV that had a similar format to this upcoming show.
