'Downton Abbey' sneak peek

WFWA, PBS39, and the Embassy Theatre will present a free preview screening of the first hour of the first episode of “Downton Abbey” Season 3 from Masterpiece at 3 p.m. Sunday. This preview heralds the much-anticipated return of “Downton Abbey” to Masterpiece on PBS39, especially the season premiere, which is scheduled for 9 p.m. Jan. 6 on PBS39HD/Channel 39-1.

IPFW auditions for 'Orlando'

IPFW's Department of Theatre will hold auditions for “Orlando” by Sara Ruhl at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 27 in the Williams Theatre, 2101 Coliseum Blvd E. Nine actors of either gender are needed. The role of Orlando has been cast. All other actors will play multiple roles as well as the chorus. Copies of the script are available for 24-hour loan with a $5 deposit. Student specials at Embassy

The Broadway at the Embassy series will offer $20 student rush tickets to the following productions:

•“The Rat Pack is Back!” – 7:30 p.m. March 7.

•“Late Nite Catechism” – 8 p.m. April 20.

•“Rock of Ages” – 7:30 p.m. May 8.

•“West Side Story” – 7:30 p.m. June 17.

Student rush tickets are only available in person at the Embassy box office, 125 W. Jefferson Blvd., during the two hours before the performance. Limit is one upper balcony ticket at $20 per person with a valid student ID. Only 50 student rush tickets are available each show. For more information, go to www.fwembassytheatre.org.
