Sunday, December 30, 2012 - 8:09 am

Indiana Tech seniors Melvin Brooks and Jordan Hickman scored 17 points each to lead the 20th-ranked Warriors past visiting Ohio State University-Lima on Saturday in the Schaefer Center.

Indiana Tech scored the first 25 points of the game on their way to the 87-23 victory over the Barons.

The Warriors shot over 55 percent from the field for the game, connecting on 61 percent of their shots from behind the arc, while holding OSU-Lima to a mere 19 percent. Tech also out-rebounded the Barons 39-26 and forced the visitors into 25 turnovers.

Every player that saw action made it into the scoring column for the Warriors. Brooks notched his third double-double of the year by adding 12 rebounds to his 17 points. Antonio Cannon (Indianapolis, IN/Ancilla) and Kody Chandler (Schoolcraft, MI/Goshen) joined Brooks and Hickman in double figures. Cannon finished with 16 points and Chandler matched his season-high with 15 while draining five three-pointers.

Indiana Tech (12-3, 5-2 WHAC) will ring in the new year against conference for Marygrove College (1-13, 1-6 WHAC) on Wednesday in the Schaefer Center at 7:30 p.m.
