Tuesday, January 1, 2013 - 12:08 am

Butler freshman guard Kellen Dunham has made quite the impression on his own team this season, as well as others.

For the third time this season, Dunham was recognized by the Atlantic 10 Conference as its men’s basketball Rookie of the Week.

The Pendleton Heights High School graduate helped the 18th-ranked Bulldogs to an impressive road victory at Vanderbilt. He came off the bench with 12 points, two rebounds and two assists in Butler’s 68-49 win.

Dunham scored 10 of his points in the second half when the Bulldogs stretched a three-point halftime lead to a 19-point victory. He finished as the game’s second-leading scorer, behind teammate Rotnei Clarke (22).

Earlier this season, Dunham was named A-10 Rookie of the Week, after scoring 18 points in Butler’s season-opening victory over Elon, and he picked up the award again after helping the Bulldogs to wins over IUPUI and Northwestern.

Butler will host Penn on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
