Air National Guard

Airman 1st Class Jordan M. Miller graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio. Miller is the son of Michael Miller of Ossian and Donna Lepper of Fort Wayne and is a 2012 graduate of Norwell High School, Ossian.


Seaman Recruit Jasmine S. Washington recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Washington is a 2012 Wayne High School graduate.

Petty Officer 3rd Class James M. McCarron recently was promoted to his current rank while aboard the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman, home ported in Norfolk, Va. McCarron was promoted based on sustained superior job performance and proficiency in his designated specialty. McCarron joined the Navy in October 2010. He is the son of Lynne C. and H. Michael McCarron of Fort Wayne.

Petty Officer 3rd Class Cody A. Kenens has graduated from the U.S. Navy's Nuclear Power School at Naval Nuclear Power Training Command in Goose Creek, S.C. Kenens is the son of Ed and Cynthia Kenens of West Fourth Street, Auburn, and a 2012 graduate of DeKalb High School, Waterloo.

Petty Officer 3rd Class Nathan J. Brewer has graduated from the U.S. Navy's Nuclear Power School at Naval Nuclear Power Training Command in Goose Creek, S.C. He is the son of James and Pam Brewer of Ossian. His wife, Laura, is the daughter of Larry and Teresa Harness of Craigville. He is a 2008 graduate of Norwell High School, Ossian.
