Faith briefs: Annual MLK service Sunday; youth choirs in concert Saturday at Trinity English Lutheran

ASSOCIATED CHURCHES OF FORT WAYNE AND ALLEN COUNTY and Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance will host the 28th annual Service of Repentance & Reconciliation, honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., at 7 p.m. Sunday at Plymouth Congregational Church, 501 W. Berry St. Timothy L. Lake will speak.

CONCORDIA THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY, 6600 N. Clinton St., will hold Epiphany Lessons and Carols is at 4 p.m. Sunday in Kramer Chapel. Symposia Choral Vespers is at 5 p.m. Jan. 23 in Kramer Chapel. Symposa Vespers and organ recital is at 4 p.m. Jan. 24 in Kramer Chapel. Bill Hecht will hold a book-signing for “Two Wars We Must Not Lose” and give a lecture about “The Christian Challenge in the Public Square: A Lutheran Voice” Jan. 24. EPWORTH UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 105 W. 8th St., Matthews, will hold Balloonapalooza! at 5 p.m. Feb. 2.

HUNTINGTON UNIVERSITY, Huntington, announced William Hasker, emeritus professor of philosophy at Huntington University, has written a new book, “Metaphysics and the Tri-Personal God.” The book will be published by Oxford University Press in their series, “Oxford Studies in Analytic Theology” later this year. It will be released in England in August and the United States in October.

LINCOLNSHIRE CHURCH OF THE BRETHREN, 6404 S. Calhoun St., will hold a Taste of Chocolate event in two sittings, 5-6:30 p.m. and 7-8:30 p.m. Feb. 9. $9 adults, $5 ages 4-10 and free ages 3 and under. Tickets available at the church office.

NORTH PARK COMMUNITY CHURCH, 7160 Flutter Road, will have the Women's Concert Choir & Handbell Ensemble, conducted by Betty-Ann Lynerd, of Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, perform at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Free admission.

TRINITY ENGLISH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 405 W. Wayne St., will present in concert the Junior Choir (Grades 3-6) and Youth Choir (Grades 7-12) of Trinity English Lutheran Church and the Concert Choir (Trebles) and Youth Chorale (high school) of Fort Wayne Children's Choir at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Free.

TRINITY EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1636 St. Marys Ave., will have Ash Wednesday service at 7 p.m. Feb. 13.
