Health briefs: Mental health in Burmese community discussed, blood drives listed

Mental Health in Burmese community

NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Multicultural Program will be “Better Together” at 7-9 p.m. Tuesday (Jan. 22) at the Carriage House Club House, 3327 Lake Avenue. Speaker will be Myo Mynt, Burmese soldier and editorial consultant for Radio Free Asia, a Burmese program based in Washington, D.C. Discussion will include mental health in the Burmese community. The event is free.

Workshops offered

One-to-One Personal Training and Wellness Coaching will hold the following workshops in 2013: “Relaxation Techniques: Breathwork and Beyond”; “Posture 101 for Balance 911”; and “Self-massage for Myofascial Release.”
