For the second time this season, Indiana Tech junior Rachael Kruse has been named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Player of the Week for women's basketball.
The Fort Wayne native helped guide the Warriors to an undefeated week by averaging 23.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per game.
Kruse led all scorers with 28 points in a 79-70 win over Madonna University. She also added eight rebounds, two assists, and a steal in the contest. In Tech's 66-60 win at Lawrence Tech, she scored 19 points, hauled in two rebounds, and blocked three shots, including one in the closing seconds to help seal the victory.
On the year, Kruse is averaging 16.3 points per game, which ranks second on the team and sixth in the conference. The Homestead High School graduate is also second on the squad with 5.4 rebounds per game and tied for the team lead with 28 steals.
Indiana Tech (9-12, 7-6 WHAC) will travel to the University of Michigan-Dearborn (6-13, 5-8 WHAC) on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
