The News-Sentinel selected the eight finalists and now it is up to you, the reader, to determine who should be the News-Sentinel Fan Choice Player of the Week. Vote for the area high school basketball player who you feel had the best performance this week. The winner of this weekly award will be solely determined through online voting at news-sentinel.com. The polls are open now and will close at 10 p.m. Monday. The Fan Choice Player of Week, along with the Boys Player of the Week and Girls Player of the Week, will be announced in Tuesday's issue of The News-Sentinel.

Meredith Shipman, Snider — Had a game-high a game-high 20 points to help Snider defeat Concordia.

Tayler Stuery, Lakewood Park Christian — Scored a game-high 21 points as Lakewood Park Christian beat Blackhawk Christian

Amy Poynter, Carroll — Had a game-high 15 points to help Carroll rally from a half time deficit and defeat East Noble.

Katie Saalfrank, Heritage — Scored a game-high 25 points in Heritage's 28-point victory against New Haven in conference play.

Leander Williams, Snider — The point guard led all players with 22 points as Snider upset Concorida in a conference game.

James Blackmon Jr., Bishop Luers — The Indiana recruit scored a game-high 29 points in Bishop Luers' nine-point victory against Wayne Friday.

Dwight Richards, North Side — Scored a team-high 20 points to help North Side win a rivalry game against South Side.

Daniel Woll, Columbia City — Had a game-high 31 points to lead Columbia City to a non-conference victory against Huntington North.
