NEWS-SENTINEL BOYS BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Leander Williams, Snider: The point guard led all players with 22 points as Snider upset Concordia Lutheran in a conference game.

NEWS-SENTINEL GIRLS BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Katie Saalfrank, Heritage: Scored a game-high 25 points in Heritage's 28-point victory against New Haven in conference play.

NEWS-SENTINEL FAN CHOICE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Amy Poynter, Carroll: Had a game-high 15 points to help Carroll rally from a halftime deficit and defeat East Noble. Poynter received 170 votes and 43.48 percent of the total vote in the online voting to win this new weekly award. Online polls for next week's Fan Choice Player of the Week will be open Sunday through Monday evening at news-sentinel.com.
